So I have had one heck of a week. I had surgery a week ago and had a doctors appointment on Wednesday. I got a little depressed after the appointment for silly reasons now when I look back at it, but at the time I was really upset. So I made my dad drive me to Barnes and Noble. All of those books I got were an impulse buy. I got a Jodi Picoult book because before I really started getting into YA I use to read some adult novels. I love Jodi Picoult's Tenth Circle, Harvesting the Heart, The Pact and Plain Truth so I went and bought a Jodi Picoult book. Beautiful Disaster is another impulse buy. I have told myself repeatedly that I wouldn't read 50 Shades of Grey, so when I saw this on the same table I just went over and picked it up then kept on walking. Lol. I then bought an Owl Journal for some reason. I think I might start keeping a journal. I don't know. Lol. So yeah, there is my big story and trip to Barnes and Noble this week. It is always good to do some retail (book) therapy. Lol. I have had those books on hold from the library for a couple weeks so it was finally nice to get them. I am reading Hide and Seek right now. Really liking it so far! :)
Btw, I also bought college books this week. and OhMyGod kill me now. Totally broke. I have decided that those are the only books that i don't like. I hate college books. AghH! Okay, sorry rant over. Lol.
Post a comment and tell me what books you got this week!
Ahh, Beautiful Disaster is definitely a talking point right now! I quite enjoyed it, but I can definitely see the faults that people have picked out! Good luck in keeping your journal if you start - I'm always terrible at it!
ReplyDeleteMy haul this week
Nice! Those are all new to me but I hope you enjoy them!

I loveee that owl notebook - it's so cute! I'm curious to see what you think of Perks of Being a Wallflower as it's being made into a movie now. I wasn't a big fan of Beautiful Disaster or Unraveling, but I hope you enjoy them! Happy Reading! :D

Awesome haul.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love buying journals (I have been buying a lot lately and think I will include them in my haul's now) - but yea, if you bought the journal you probably did because you want to write down something and you thought it was cute (those are always my reasons LOL)
Oh, I hear you on college books. So expensive. Can't say I miss being broke at the beginning of every semester. Though, I have kept a lot of my college books because they were interesting and I loved my classes.
Happy reading, girl. Hope your weekend is going well :)

I really want to read The Perks of Being a Wallflower, especially with the movie being released soon. When I was a college student, I wanted to cry every time I saw how much my textbooks cost for the semester. I definitely don't miss that part of college life.
ReplyDeleteHappy reading!
I'm so sorry you had a bad week, but I'm happy you got some books! I do the same thing. This week, we had to put our cat to sleep, and I bought three books online to comfort myself. So, I sympathize. And Beautiful Disaster! Still trying to decide if I should read that, but I love the cover. And that's one thing I don't miss about college: buying the books. I just graduated but I did keep all my books because they're fascinating.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my IMM! Enjoy your books!
I haven't read any reviews of Beautiful Disaster yet, but I did saw it in a lot of mailboxes. I hope you will enjoy it and I'm looking forward to your review! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you had a bad week! Hope all is going well after your surgery. Barnes and Noble is the best sort of retail therapy and you got some goodies! Beautiful Disaster is sure to take your mind off your own problems because there is major drama in it! But I loved it even so, hope you do too. Unraveling is one I have and need to read as I've heard so many good things! Nice haul Olivia! Thanks for visiting The Readers Den. :)
ReplyDeleteUNRAVELING! I really enjoyed your book, so I hope you will, too! :) I received BEAUTIFUL DISASTER a couple of weeks ago from NG, but I've been hearing loads of mixed reviews of it. Looking forward to hearing what you think.
ReplyDeleteAwesome haul, and thanks for stopping by my blog!
LOL I have a tendency to impulse-buy as well! We both got Jodi Picoult books this week! X)
ReplyDeleteGreat haul Olivia!
Been hearing so many good things about Beautiful Disaster. Hope you enjoy it. I'll be reading that as soon as I can.
ReplyDeleteAwesome haul! Thanks for stopping by.
