Alice, Summer, and Tiernan are ex-best friends.

Back in middle school, the three girls were inseparable. They were also the number one fans of the rock band Level3. But when the band broke up, so did their friendship. Summer ran with the popular crowd, Tiernan was a rebellious wild-child, and Alice spent high school with her nose buried in books.
Now, just as the girls are about to graduate, Level3 announces a one-time-only reunion show. Even though the concert’s 2000 miles away, Alice buys three tickets on impulse. And as it turns out, Summer and Tiernan have their own reasons for wanting to get out of town. Good thing Alice’s graduation gift (a pea-green 1976 VW camper van known as the Pea Pod) is just the vehicle to get them there.

But on the long drive cross-country, the girls hit more than a few bumps in the road. Will their friendship get an encore or is the show really over?

I loved this book! I have been wanting to read this since the first time that I saw it. It just looked like it would be so much fun to read. I have also heard many good reviews over it, so my expectations were pretty high and I can say that this didn't disappoint!

Reunited tells the story of three ex-best friends; Summer, Alice, and Tiernan. Their friendship ended in middle school over a big misunderstanding and when their favorite band, Level3, broke up. When Level3 announces a one-time reunion show, Alice buys three tickets and asks the girls go on a road trip with her to see the band.

The characters are the best thing about this story. I loved all the girls so much. They each had their own unique personality and back story to tell. Summer is very popular, but has her own problems with her boyfriend and family. Tiernan is the complete opposite of Summer, with blue hair and black combat boots. She is sarcastic and funny, but feels guilty that they all aren't friends anymore. Alice is lighthearted and sometimes completely clueless when it comes to boys. There is at least one characteristic that I could relate to with all the girls. I liked them all for different reasons.

The adventures that the girls get into are so crazy. The guys the meet in West Virginia were hilarious, but scary at the same time. The Pea Pod was always so great. The author described it so clearly that I could picture it in my head. I also liked learning all the different lyrics to Level3's songs before each chapter. That was really cool. There is also a lot of character development between the girls and you learn the story of why they aren't friends anymore. While, the girls were sometimes immature and had bad attitude; I still liked them.

Overall, this was a great summer read. It was quick and didn't take that long to get into. The ending is very surprising. I really liked this story and could relate to some aspects of it. I can't wait to read more books by Hilary Weisman Graham. I really enjoyed her writing style!
